Lunch

We’d picked up Sandwich items and made a variety of sandwiches for an average of about $2.90 per serve.

Dinner

In previous trips to Keystone we had enjoyed several meals at The Cala Inn and tonight’s Fish and Chips were no exception for $16.60 per serve.

Lunch

A repeat of the Egg Salad Sandwich & Lemon Pepper Tuna & Avocado rom yesterday.

• Dave’s Killer Bread is 66c per serve
• The Avocado is 30c per serve
• Lemon Pepper Tuna is $1.00 per serve
• The egg salad is $3.69 for 10 oz and we used 2 oz per serve, or 46c per serve
  
• Add 35c for Garlic Spread and sprouts.

A pair of decent sandwiches for $2.77 per serve,

Dinner

We had a guest for dinner so we served thick cut, bone-in pork chops, Souse Vidė ahead of being pan seared.

• The pork chops were $9.71 each
• Four slices of bacon are $2.74 or 68c per serve
  
• A Nappa Cabbage was $2.39 but we split it across many meals, or 30c per serve
  
• The Gala apple was 35c or 18c per serve
  
• Add 20c for apple cider vinegar and seasoning.

A memorable meal with our friend, and some great food for $11.07 per serve.

Back to regular sandwiches. Today an Avocado and Lemon Pepper Tuna sandwich and an Egg Salad and Sprout Sandwich.

Dinner

Last week’s meatless meal left us with Peanut Satay Sauce and some custardy grilled Eggplant, which we’d stirred together. Add some Brown Rice Pad Thai Noodles and some Spring Onion, and you have a meal!

• Pad Thai Noodles add 45c per serve
• The Peanut Satay Sauce and Eggplant have already been accounted for.

This was surprisingly good for 45c per serve!

Lunch

For the first time in ages we had toasted sandwiches. On one we had Smoked Turkey Breast with Avocado, Sun Dried Tomato and Swiss; on the other Spicy Tuna, Capers and Swiss.

• The tuna pouch was $1.99 or $1.00 per serve
  
• Swiss slices are 12 for $3.99 or 34c per serve
• Avocado is 50c per serve
• Add 30c for butter, capers and garlic spread.

It’s not quite toasted sandwich season, but it was a nice change for $2.80 per serve.

Dinner

We had been trying to smoke and eat some thin cut Pork Chops from our Keller Crafted meat box since Thursday, but circumstances kept intervening. Tonight we smoked then pan fried the Pork Chops and served with a variation on Nigella Lawson’s Double Potato Halloumi Bake, but with only Sweet Potato.

• The Sweet Potato Halloumi Bake is $1.34 per serve
• The pork chops are $10.30 or $5.15 per serve.

The Pork Chops took on a great smokey flavor and were then perfectly cooked in the pan and paired with the Sheet Pan Bake for $6.49 per serve.

Lunch

For lunch we cooked up half a pack of Trader Joe’s Roasted Potatoes with Peppers and Onions, and topped with beaten eggs and cooked as a Frittata.

• The Roasted Potatoes with Peppers and Onions is $2.99 for the pack, but we used half, or 75c per serve
• Pastured Eggs are 51c each or $1.02 per serve.

We ate two quarters each, it was that good, for $1.77 per serve.

• The NY Strip Steak was $20.18 or $10.09 per serve
• Béarnaise sauce was $3.29 and we used ¼ or 42c per serve
• A bag of five Avocados was $5.99 and we shared one, or 60c per serve
  
• The Grape tomatoes cost $2.49 or 63c per serve
• Add 30c per serve for sugar snap peas
• Add 40c for Olive Oil and Balsamic Glaze.

The steak was cooked perfectly and the salad made a good accompaniment for $12.44 per serve.
