Lunch
Even thought the weather is warming, we still prefer our lunch sandwiches toasted. This worked well today as toasting the sandwich softened the feta. This was a really good combination.
- Two slices of bread are 32c per serve
- The feta is $6.49 and we used half, or $1.63 per serve
- The pack of spinach was $2.50 and we used about ⅛ on the sandwiches, or 16c per serve
- The garlic spread is $2.99 for the container and we used about 1/10 or 15c per serve.
We’re finding the Trader Joe’s Garlic Spread/Dip to be a great substitute for mayonnaise on our lunch sandwiches. Today’s was particularly good for $2.26 per serve.
Dinner
Tonight was LACPUG night, so dinner is pizza afterward where we now contribute $10 per person.
